Daffodil Festival
Nissa, my daughter Kendra, and her husband David invited me and a few friends to the Nantucket Daffodil Festival for my 60th birthday. (check out my invitation below!)
My family has been going to Nantucket every summer for over twenty-five years and when we departed the ferry we would cross the street and regroup in front of The Toy Boat, a toy store that sadly doesn’t exist anymore. But this store has a great old oak tree in front of it growing up through the deck (actually I’m pretty sure the deck was built around it) The Toy Boat used to keep a fairy garden around the base of this great oak and we (and when I say we, it was probably just me) couldn’t wait to check it out every year and see what new mini fairy things were added had a little fairy village.
Back to the Daffodil Festival, way too much fun! This Festival as well as the Nantucket Christmas Stroll has been on my bucket list since as long as we’ve been visiting the island. One down and one to go!
