Preschool Love
Reading to preschoolers at the local United Methodist program was incredibly heartwarming. Having a group of children sitting still and listening is the best reward when reading your own book to them. I read two books: PIXIE PROBLEMS and NISSA TO THE RESCUE. We talked about bullying and helping others. The question I get a lot is about Nissa speaking in rhyme. It is a great opportunity to explain how her speech makes her different than you but just as nice and friendly. It makes her different from the other fairies, too, and they all still love her. After the reading, the children colored pictures and shared their own stories about their pictures.
